- Maintaining an active presence in Europe to ensure that we are up to date with the rapidly changing legislative environment and the emerging EMEA sponsored Paediatric network.
- Providing the infrastructure and expertise to support clinical trials and studies assessing the safety, efficacy and contributing to the authorisation of ‘off label’ or unlicensed medicines.
- Providing the infrastructure and expertise to support clinical trials and studies contributing to the development of new medicines and treatments for children.
- Collaborating with Managed Clinical Networks and academic centres to identify opportunities for translational research relevant to medicines development.
- Promoting the use of dedicated paediatric clinical research facilities and specialist paediatric nurses to conduct trials.
- Identifying key areas where Public and Patient Involvement will enhance the conduct of clinical trials.
- Developing child friendly and ethically acceptable investigational methods.
