The ScotMCN Board meets quarterly and is responsible for the direction of the Network. Meetings currently rotate between Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow. For urgent decisions outwith this meeting schedule tele meetings are convened with formal ratification of decisions at the next scheduled Board meeting.
Responsibilities include:
- Ratification of research priorities
- Governance and communication within the Network
- Ensuring the contractual obligations of the Network are met
- Ensuring harmonisation with the DOH MCRN and with related activities in the devolved UK nations
- Overview of operational group business and ensuring consistency within the Network
- Production of annual report to CSO
Minutes of discussions, decisions and actions are approved by the Network Director are posted on the Network website with appropriate protection of confidentiality for issues of commercial interest and where requested and justified under existing freedom of information legislation.
